Volunteer

Quilts2Heal volunteers complete all aspects of the quilt-making process including washing fabrics, ironing, cutting, pinning, inventory control, and transporting supplies, as well as traditional sewing activities including fabric-piecing, machine-quilting, tying, creating, and attaching binding. There are also many tasks for volunteers who do not sew or quilt. Quilts are created by quilters individually in their homes and/or at Quilts2Heal sew days. An average-size quilt (50” x 60”) requires 40 to 55 hours, depending on its complexity.
We depend on volunteer efforts to replenish our inventory of finished quilts. There is a continuing need for quilts to be distributed. Join us if you can. There are many projects to work on. Your time, talent and efforts DO make a difference to many in need of comfort!

Exchange Days
On Exchange Days, volunteers meet briefly to return completed tops, backs and/or completed tops, or to discuss projects being worked on that need a bit of help. This is a time to pick up more fun kits, quilts to border, tie, bind and quilt.

If you would like to donate fabric, please contact us.
